Why MindView
Most therapy in Levittown has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.
Plenty of practices take Medicare. What you get here is one format for every client: a full intake, a written treatment plan, and standardized measures reviewed with you every month, so you can see whether it is working.
- 01
Intake
What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.
- 02
Your history
Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.
- 03
Treatment plan
Written and collaborative, built against those causes.
- 04
Monthly review
Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.
A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.
Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Medicare in Levittown, in short
Yes. MindView Therapy is in-network with Medicare and sees Levittown adults 18 and older by secure video anywhere in New York State. Your home counts as an approved place to receive mental health care by video, with no geographic limit attached. Original Medicare in 2026 asks for a $283 annual Part B deductible and then 20 percent of the approved amount. If you hold a second card alongside Medicare, that arithmetic changes, so we check both.
In Levittown, more residents aged 65 and over hold Medicare alongside employer coverage than hold Medicare on its own. The counts are 2,744 against 2,331, out of 8,476 with Medicare in an over-65 population of 8,904. Another 1,071 pair it with a policy they bought and 452 hold it with Medicaid. The practical consequence is that a Medicare question here is usually a two-card question.
The second card is the normal case here
Ask what Medicare pays for therapy in Levittown and the honest answer is that the question usually arrives incomplete. Among the 8,904 Levittown CDP residents aged 65 and over, 8,476 hold Medicare, a rate of 95.2 percent. What is easy to miss is which arrangement is most common among them, because it is not Medicare standing alone.
The largest single group, 2,744 people, holds Medicare alongside coverage from an employer. That is more than the 2,331 who carry Medicare and nothing else. Another 1,071 pair Medicare with a policy they purchased on their own, and 452 hold it together with Medicaid. Four different arrangements, one card in common, four different answers to what a session actually costs.
That is why the first thing we ask for is not one card but two. A second card is the ordinary case here rather than the exception, and it is worth settling before anyone is quoted a number rather than after a bill arrives.
2,744 against 2,331, and what that changes
The comparison matters because it changes what we need to see before quoting a cost. A person holding Medicare on its own faces the Part B deductible and coinsurance directly, with no second plan absorbing any part of it. A person holding Medicare alongside an employer plan, a purchased supplement, or Medicaid is looking at a different number, because that second card is doing some of the work.
We do not walk through how two plans settle a claim between themselves. That is a matter between the plans, and it is not the part that actually helps someone decide whether to book. What we do is ask which second card, if any, you carry, then check your specific benefit before quoting anything at all. None of this says how much any one arrangement lowers what a specific person owes, which depends on plan design we have not seen yet and will not guess at.
None of this is limited to people over 65, either. Levittown CDP also counts 734 residents aged 19 to 64 with Medicare coverage, about 2.3 percent of that age group. The same deductible and coinsurance structure applies to a person on Medicare before 65 as after it, and the same question about a second card applies just as much.
The 2,744 Levittown residents pairing Medicare with an employer plan are often still working or newly retired, still sorting out what identity looks like once a job stops setting the schedule. The 2,331 holding Medicare alone are more often further into retirement, managing a spouse’s new diagnosis, a smaller circle of friends as people they knew pass on, or a medical history that has grown longer than it used to be. The 734 residents under 65 on Medicare are usually answering a different question again, tied to a disability that changed a working life well before retirement was ever part of the plan, and it is often the first thing that comes up at intake rather than something anyone expects to explain twice.
Holding Medicare, with or without a second card, is not itself a reason to start therapy, and none of this describes what any one Levittown resident is going through. It means that the two most common paths onto this coverage tend to arrive at a first session already carrying something specific.
The 2026 Part B arithmetic, plainly
Original Medicare’s cost structure is fixed by the federal government each year, not by us. For 2026, the annual Part B deductible is $283. Once that is met, Medicare pays its share of an approved outpatient mental health visit and the member owes 20 percent of the approved amount. The standard monthly Part B premium is $202.90.
There is no annual out-of-pocket maximum on Original Medicare. That 20 percent keeps applying to every covered visit for the rest of the year, a different design from most employer or marketplace plans, and it is the main reason a second card changes the picture so much here.
A Medigap supplement is built to close exactly that gap. Depending on the specific plan a person bought, a supplement can cover a large share of the 20 percent coinsurance, sometimes all of it. We do not assume which supplement design you hold. We check it the same way we check everything else, before you are given a number to plan around.
The “approved amount” in that arithmetic is the rate Medicare itself sets for a covered visit, not a fee an individual provider might otherwise charge outside the program. It is set nationally, with only minor regional adjustment, which is part of why the deductible-then-coinsurance shape above holds steady across New York rather than shifting from one Nassau County address to the next.
Advantage plans, and the sentence we will not skip
A Medicare Advantage plan is not Original Medicare wearing a different name. It is coverage sold and administered by a private insurance carrier under contract with Medicare, and that carrier builds its own provider network, sets its own rules, and decides its own cost sharing.
We do not assume network status for a Medicare Advantage plan. We verify which card you carry before booking, every time, because an Advantage card can look similar to another one and still route to a completely different network behind it.
That verification is not a formality we skip when a plan sounds familiar. It happens before your first session is confirmed, not after, so the answer you get about being in-network is about your specific plan rather than a guess based on the name printed on the card.
Two people in Levittown can hold Advantage plans from different carriers, or the same carrier’s plan purchased in different plan years, and land on different networks with different behavioral health rules attached. That is not a reason to guess at either one. It is the reason we ask which plan, by name, before treating an Advantage card the same way we would treat Original Medicare.
Your home is an approved place to be seen
Levittown is a census designated place inside the Town of Hempstead, not an incorporated village, city or town of its own, and it has no municipal government to speak of. That is part of why a Medicare visit here does not depend on finding a local office. Medicare mental health telehealth does not carry a geographic restriction on where the patient has to be, and your home counts as an approved place to receive care.
That rule is federal, and it applies the same way whether the visit happens in Levittown or anywhere else in New York State. There is no requirement to travel to a clinic, a hospital, or any other facility first. A secure video connection from home satisfies the requirement entirely on its own.
Every session we provide is by secure video, with a clinician licensed in New York. There is no MindView office in Levittown, and none is needed for a Medicare telehealth visit to count as a valid one.
Getting a first session on the calendar
Booking starts with your Medicare card and whatever second card applies to you, whether that is an employer plan, a purchased supplement, or Medicaid. Book online and it takes about 30 seconds; we verify both cards and tell you the per-session cost before anything is scheduled.
Adults 18 and older across Levittown book for reasons that range widely: grief, depression, anxiety, and the kind of life transitions that tend to cluster around retirement and a change in health coverage. Ongoing chronic pain or illness comes up often among Medicare-age clients as well, and general therapy is a reasonable starting point for anyone who is not sure which of those fits yet.
A first session is an intake rather than treatment: what brought you in, the background that matters to it, and what you want different, with a baseline reading using standardized measures that later sessions get checked against. A recurring weekly time gets set before that first session ends, so the schedule is settled rather than left open. See the Levittown location page for the full list of plans covered here, part of our statewide New York coverage.
What Medicare covers here
- •Original Medicare Part B covers outpatient mental health care by video, with no restriction on where you are located when the appointment starts.
- •A $283 annual Part B deductible applies first, then Medicare pays its share and you owe 20 percent of the approved amount.
- •Original Medicare carries no annual out-of-pocket maximum, which is one reason a second card changes what a session actually costs.
- •A Medicare Advantage plan is administered by a private carrier with its own network, and we confirm that network before assuming anything.
- •Coverage extends to adults 18 and older, including the smaller group of Levittown residents under 65 who qualify for Medicare early.

What does therapy here actually look like?
The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.
- Getting started
Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.
- Mapping what is behind it
Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.
- Writing the plan together
You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.
- Ongoing
Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.
Therapy here is measured, not guessed
Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.
Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Medicare questions
I still have coverage through my old job as well as Medicare. Which one do you bill?
We ask for both cards rather than assuming Medicare stands alone, because in Levittown it usually does not. Among residents 65 and over here, 2,744 hold Medicare alongside an employer plan, more than the 2,331 who hold Medicare by itself. We do not walk through how the two plans settle a claim between themselves, only what you can expect to owe once we have checked your specific benefit.
I have Medicare and a supplement. What do I actually pay?
Original Medicare in 2026 applies a $283 annual Part B deductible first, then 20 percent of the approved amount for a covered visit, with no annual cap on that coinsurance. A Medigap supplement is built to close that gap and can cover a large share of the 20 percent, sometimes all of it, depending on the plan you bought. We confirm your specific supplement before quoting a number.
I have a Medicare Advantage plan. Are you in-network?
We do not assume network status for a Medicare Advantage plan. Advantage coverage is sold and run by a private carrier with its own network, so we verify which card you carry and check it directly before booking is confirmed.
Do I have to travel somewhere to use Medicare telehealth?
No. Medicare mental health telehealth does not restrict where you have to be for the visit, and your home counts as an approved place to receive care. A secure video connection from home is enough on its own, with no clinic or facility visit required first.
I am under 65 and on Medicare. Does this apply to me?
Yes. Levittown CDP counts 734 residents aged 19 to 64 with Medicare coverage, about 2.3 percent of that age group. The same Part B deductible and coinsurance structure applies before 65 as after, and the same question about a second card applies too.
