Why MindView
Most therapy in Yonkers has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.
Plenty of practices take Optum. What you get here is one format for every client: a full intake, a written treatment plan, and standardized measures reviewed with you every month, so you can see whether it is working.
- 01
Intake
What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.
- 02
Your history
Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.
- 03
Treatment plan
Written and collaborative, built against those causes.
- 04
Monthly review
Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.
A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.
Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Optum in Yonkers, in short
MindView Therapy is in-network with Optum and sees Yonkers clients by secure video anywhere in New York State. If the mental health side of your benefits runs under the Optum name, you are covered here, and we verify your exact benefit and explain it plainly before your first session. Accepting new clients.
Your card says one company, your therapy portal says Optum, and nobody explained why. This page does, and then it gets you booked.
Does MindView take Optum in Yonkers?
Yes. We are in-network with Optum, and Yonkers clients meet their therapist by secure video anywhere in New York State. You pay your plan’s assigned cost share, we verify it first, and we are booking new clients now.
Why your therapy benefit says Optum when your card says something else
The front of your insurance card and the mental health line on the back of it can name two different companies, and both are telling the truth. Some plans use Optum for the mental health side of your benefits, which is why the portal you were pointed to for therapy is liveandworkwell.com while your medical card says another name entirely.
You do not need to resolve that puzzle. If Optum appears anywhere on the mental health side of your plan, we are in-network for you, and we confirm it when we verify your benefit.
How to read your card for therapy
Two minutes of card literacy saves weeks of confusion, so here is the tour. The member ID on the front identifies you, and the group number identifies your employer’s plan. Flip the card over: the phone line labeled mental health or behavioral health is the one that governs therapy, and it may carry a different company name than the front. That is normal.
Then three words decide your cost. A copay is a fixed amount per session. Coinsurance is your percentage of the session’s allowed rate. A deductible is what you pay in full before the plan starts sharing. Your plan uses one or more of these, and which ones, at what size, is exactly what we find out for you.
About one in three Yonkers residents learned a different country’s health system first, and the American insurance card is nobody’s idea of a welcome mat. Insurance literacy should not be an entry requirement for therapy, so we read the card with you. Keep a photo of both sides in your phone. Every coverage question we will ever ask you is answerable from those two images.
What you will pay
Once we verify your Optum benefit, you get your number, plainly stated, before your first session. If any part of the answer is confusing, we explain it until it is not. That conversation costs nothing and obligates you to nothing.
Verification also catches the quieter details: whether a deductible is still open on your plan year, and whether your employer’s renewal changed the copay you remember from last year. If anything shifts mid-treatment, you hear it from us before it ever shows up on a statement.
What we treat
Yonkers clients come to us for anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, stress, and support for first-generation immigrants navigating two worlds at once.

What Optum covers here
- •Some plans use Optum for the mental health side of your benefits, so your therapy paperwork or portal may say Optum even when your medical card shows another name.
- •If your benefit portal is liveandworkwell.com, the word you are looking for on our insurance list is Optum.
- •Whatever your plan design assigns per session, copay, coinsurance or deductible, we verify it and explain it in plain words before you start.
How to book with Optum

Photograph the front and back of your insurance card. Both sides carry information we use.
- 2
Request a first session through our secure client portal.
- 3
We verify the mental health benefit on your plan and walk you through what it means, in whatever detail you want.
- 4
Meet your therapist by secure video from anywhere in New York State.
What does therapy here actually look like?
The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.
- Getting started
Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.
- Mapping what is behind it
Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.
- Writing the plan together
You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.
- Ongoing
Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.
Therapy here is measured, not guessed
Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.
Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.
Use your Optum benefits and get started.

Optum questions
My card is from another insurer but my therapy portal is liveandworkwell.com. Who do you bill?
Book with us and hand over the card, both sides. That portal means your mental health benefit runs under the Optum name, which we are in-network with, and the billing is our job, not yours. What you will get from us is the one fact you need, your cost per session.
I grew up with a different country's health system. Will someone actually explain what my plan covers?
Yes, and you will not have to decode anything alone. Before your first session we verify your benefit and go over what you will pay and why, in plain language. Bring every question you have been embarrassed to ask. None of them are silly.
Is Optum an insurance company?
The useful client-side answer is that Optum is the name on the mental health side of many plans. If your paperwork, portal or the back of your card says Optum for mental health, we are in-network for you, and we confirm it when we verify your benefit.
What do I need ready before the first session?
Your card, front and back, and your date of birth. That is enough for us to verify the benefit. For the session itself, you need a device with a camera and a private spot anywhere in New York State.
