Why MindView
Most therapy in Indianapolis has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.
Most practices in Indianapolis deliver whatever approach the therapist you happened to get was trained in. We run one format for every client, and we measure it.
- 01
Intake
What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.
- 02
Your history
Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.
- 03
Treatment plan
Written and collaborative, built against those causes.
- 04
Monthly review
Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.
A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.
Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Therapy in Indianapolis, in short
MindView Therapy sees Indianapolis clients by secure video anywhere in Indiana. We provide structured, evidence-based therapy for adults (18+), in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. We are accepting new clients now.
Finding a therapist in Indianapolis usually means calling down a directory and hearing "not accepting new clients" until you stop. Here is the short version of what we offer instead. We see adults across Marion County by secure video, we are in-network with the three biggest commercial plans in Indiana, and booking takes about 30 seconds online. No commute across the loop, no waiting room, no phone tag.
Who do you help in Indianapolis?
MindView Therapy works with adults (18+) across Marion County. Clients come to us from downtown and Mass Ave, from Broad Ripple, Fountain Square, Irvington, and Meridian-Kessler, and from the excluded cities and near suburbs: Speedway, Beech Grove, Southport, Castleton.
People reach out for anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, burnout, grief, and relationship strain. Indianapolis is a city of hospital systems, state government, insurance and pharma employers, and a lot of people holding demanding jobs together with young families. A large share of our Indianapolis inquiries are working adults who have been meaning to start therapy for a year and keep losing the free hour it would take. You do not need a diagnosis or a tidy explanation to begin.
Do you have an Indianapolis office?
No. We do not have an office in Indianapolis, and we are not going to imply we do. Every session with an Indianapolis client happens by secure video.
Our Indiana office is in Carmel, about 20 miles north of Monument Circle. For someone on the south side that is a 45-minute drive on a good day, and I-465 does not hand out many good days at 5 p.m. So we built our Indiana care around telehealth: same therapist, same session length, same weekly rhythm, no drive.
Your therapist is licensed in Indiana, your session is covered at your plan’s telehealth benefit level, and you are seen from wherever in the state you are.
Who will I actually be talking to?
Every Indiana session is with our Indiana-licensed therapist. You are not being routed to whoever has an opening on a large platform, and you keep the same therapist week to week, for the whole course of care.
What does therapy involve here?
Therapy at MindView follows a clear structure, so you always know what comes next.
Your first session is an intake. You talk through what brought you in and what you want to be different, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. You can decline any question. After that the wider context of your life gets mapped, at your pace and with anything skippable, and a written treatment plan comes out of it, agreed between you, including one goal you choose yourself.
After that, sessions are weekly. Once a month you complete standardized measures and you review the trend together. If the plan is not working, the plan changes. Progress is measured, not assumed.
The work is structured and matched to what you bring, drawing on approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy: structured, present-focused, and skills-based. You leave sessions with something to practice, not just something to think about.
What insurance works in Indianapolis?
We are in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna.
Three things worth knowing about how that plays out locally. Anthem is the Indiana Blue: if your employer plan carries the Blue Cross Blue Shield cross-and-shield, in Indiana that is Anthem. Cigna - we are in-network.
That variation is exactly why we verify your benefits before your first session and tell you what you will owe. No surprise bill after the fact.
How do I start?
Book online through our secure portal. It takes about 30 seconds. Have your insurance member ID card ready.
We verify your coverage, confirm the cost, and get you scheduled. We are accepting new clients and respond within one business day. Prefer to talk to a person first? Call (646) 493-4007.

What does therapy here actually look like?
The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.
- The first meeting
Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.
- The wider picture
Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.
- Building the plan
You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.
- Ongoing
Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.
Therapy here is measured, not guessed
Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.
Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Indianapolis questions
Does MindView Therapy have an office in Indianapolis?
No. We do not have an Indianapolis office, and we will not pretend otherwise. We see Indianapolis clients by secure video anywhere in Indiana. Our Indiana office is in Carmel, about 20 miles north of downtown, and our Indiana care is built around telehealth.
Who will my therapist be?
Our Indiana-licensed therapist holds every Indiana session. The Indiana license is what makes it lawful to see you while you are in the state.
What insurance do you take in Indianapolis?
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. Anthem is the Blue Cross Blue Shield plan in Indiana, so if your card says Blue Cross, that is almost certainly Anthem. We verify your specific benefits and tell you what you will owe before your first session.
Is online therapy as effective as sitting in an office?
For the common outpatient concerns we treat, research comparing video-delivered CBT with in-person CBT has generally found comparable outcomes. If we think you need a level of care we cannot provide by video, we will say so and help you find it.
How soon can I be seen?
We are accepting new clients and respond within one business day. Booking online takes about 30 seconds.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in, some history, and what you want to change, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline.
Do you see couples in Indianapolis?
Yes. Couples sessions run by video with both partners on the call. Partners can join from two different places if the week requires it, as long as both are physically in Indiana during the session.
What will therapy cost me?
With an in-network plan you pay your copay or coinsurance rather than the full session fee, and any unmet deductible may apply first. We verify your benefits before your first session and tell you the number.
