Why MindView

Most therapy in Indianapolis has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.

Plenty of practices take Cigna. What you get here is one format for every client: a full intake, a written treatment plan, and standardized measures reviewed with you every month, so you can see whether it is working.

  1. 01

    Intake

What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.

  2. 02

    Your history

Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.

  3. 03

    Treatment plan

Written and collaborative, built against those causes.

  4. 04

    Monthly review

Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.

A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.

Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Cigna in Indianapolis, in short

We do not have an Indianapolis office. You pay your plan's copay or coinsurance rather than the full fee, verified before your first session.

Booking takes about 30 seconds.

Start here: Cigna therapy in Indianapolis

First things first: we are in-network with Cigna, and Indianapolis clients are seen by secure video under Indiana licensure, from anywhere in the state.

That contract is what protects your wallet. You pay the copay or coinsurance your plan defines, never the full session fee.

Second things second: there is no MindView office in Indianapolis, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Our Indiana practice is based in Carmel, about 20 miles from Indianapolis.

The two-network thing Cigna members learn the hard way

Cigna - we are in-network. Plenty of people confirm a provider takes Cigna, book, and then watch a therapy claim bounce because only the medical network was checked.

What will I actually pay?

Most Cigna members pay a copay per session. Plans with coinsurance charge a percentage of the negotiated rate, and a deductible may apply before either.

The benefits check happens before your first appointment, so the cost is a decision you make in advance, never a surprise you absorb later.

Indianapolis, honestly described

Indianapolis is the volume center of the state, and the paradox of a big city applies: more therapists than anywhere in Indiana, and still weeks of waiting for an opening that fits a working adult’s calendar. A video session sidesteps the second problem entirely, and it spares you a crosstown drive on I-465 for a fifty-minute appointment.

Clients reach us from Broad Ripple, Fountain Square, Irvington, Meridian-Kessler, and downtown near Monument Circle, and the concerns track the city’s working life: anxiety that follows demanding jobs in healthcare, tech, and state government, plus the relationship strain that busy seasons leave behind.

Video therapy, measured rather than assumed

Two honest sentences about the format: comparative research on video versus office-delivered therapy has generally found similar outcomes for common outpatient concerns, and telehealth is not right for every situation, if you need more care than weekly outpatient sessions provide, we say so and help you find it, including from Indianapolis.

Then the part most practices skip: monthly standardized measures, reviewed with you, so “is this working” is a question with data behind it.

Referrals and prior authorization on Cigna plans

Most Cigna plans let you book an in-network behavioral health provider directly. A minority of designs require a referral or prior authorization for outpatient therapy, and finding that out from a denied claim is the worst way. We check it during the benefits verification, before your first Indianapolis appointment is ever billed.

What the first month looks like

Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and what you want to be different, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10 so there is a baseline to measure against later. The work builds from there, at a pace you set, and you can decline any question you would rather not answer.

From there, sessions are weekly, with the monthly measure review keeping the plan honest.

Meet the Indiana practice

Our Indiana care runs through a single Indiana-licensed therapist who works with adults (18+). For Marion County that means no referral roulette and no bait-and-switch roster, the therapist described on this page is the therapist who answers when you book.

What else do you take in Indiana?

Alongside Cigna, our Indiana clients use Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. If your Indianapolis household carries more than one of these plans, we can check which leaves you paying less per session.

Getting started from Indianapolis

The whole intake path is online: book through our secure client portal in about 30 seconds, keep your Cigna card handy, and we run the benefits check before your first session, so the cost is a known number, not a guess.

We are accepting new clients and answer within one business day. Or start with a conversation instead: (646) 493-4007.

What Cigna covers here

  • Your behavioral health copay is not always the same as your medical specialist copay. We check the therapy figure specifically.
  • Most Cigna plans cover virtual behavioral health visits, commonly at the same benefit level as an office visit. We confirm yours before your first session.
  • Some Cigna plan designs require a referral or prior authorization for outpatient therapy. We check this during verification, not after a denied claim.
  • You pay only the copay, coinsurance, or remaining deductible your plan defines.
  • We verify your benefits before your first session and tell you the number. If something about your coverage changes later, you hear it from us first.

How to book with Cigna

  1. 1

Reserve your spot through the secure online portal; choosing a time takes roughly 30 seconds.

  2. 2

Your benefits get verified before you are seen, so the first number you hear is the real one.

  3. 3

Start with an intake session by secure video, from home in Indianapolis or anywhere else in Indiana.

What does therapy here actually look like?

The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.

  1. Getting started

Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.

  2. Mapping what is behind it

Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.

  3. Writing the plan together

You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.

  4. Ongoing

Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.

Therapy here is measured, not guessed

Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.

Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Use your Cigna benefits and get started.

Choose a time and book. It takes about 30 seconds. Opens our secure client portal.
