Why MindView
Most therapy in New Haven has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.
Most practices in New Haven deliver whatever approach the therapist you happened to get was trained in. We run one format for every client, and we measure it.
- 01
Intake
What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.
- 02
Your history
Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.
- 03
Treatment plan
Written and collaborative, built against those causes.
- 04
Monthly review
Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.
A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.
Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Therapy in New Haven, in short
MindView Therapy sees New Haven clients by secure video anywhere in Indiana. We provide structured, evidence-based therapy for adults (18+), in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. No New Haven office - sessions run by video, so nothing depends on a westbound drive into Fort Wayne. Accepting new clients now.
New Haven sits immediately east of Fort Wayne along the southern bank of the Maumee River, with farmland on the other side of town. Rail is the defining presence here - the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society is based in New Haven and operates the restored Nickel Plate 765 - and the major employers are Central States Grain, O'Neal Steel, East Allen County Schools, and Norfolk Southern. We see New Haven adults by secure video, in-network with Anthem, Cigna, and Aetna.
Next to a city, running on its own schedule
New Haven sits immediately east of Fort Wayne, Indiana’s second-largest city, along the southern bank of the Maumee River, with agricultural land beginning almost as soon as the city ends. That position produces a specific kind of place: close enough to a metro to use everything it has, distinct enough to have its own working economy rather than being purely residential.
The working economy here is logistics and heavy material. Central States Grain runs soybean and grain processing. O’Neal Steel operates a large steel service center. Norfolk Southern is a major presence, and East Allen County Schools is a significant institutional employer. Rail is not just history in New Haven - the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society is based here and operates the restored Nickel Plate 765 steam locomotive, and the old Wabash Railroad Depot still stands. The Besancon Historic District marks how far back settlement here goes.
What all of that means for therapy is simple and easy to miss. Grain, steel, rail, and schools do not share one clock. Grain has seasons. Steel service and rail run on shifts and call schedules. Schools run on an academic calendar. Very few of those people have a reliable free Tuesday at 2 p.m., and a lot of them finish a shift with just enough left to drive home.
Adding fifteen or twenty minutes into Fort Wayne and fifteen or twenty back onto that is what quietly ends most courses of therapy around here. Not the therapy. The trip.
MindView provides secure video sessions for adults (18+) anywhere in Indiana, in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, with a first response within one business day. Our office is in Carmel, IN, and New Haven care never runs through it.
What we hear from eastern Allen County
Burnout in physical and safety-critical work, which shows up as a shortening fuse and a flattening mood well before anyone calls it burnout. Anxiety in people with steady, decent jobs who cannot explain why the ground does not feel solid. Sleep that stopped working under rotating hours and call schedules. Marriages where the schedules never line up, so what is left of the conversation is logistics and money.
Depression that arrived slowly across a long stretch of functioning perfectly well on paper. Stress that has gone physical - jaw, stomach, shoulders, a body that has been braced so long it forgot how not to be.
You do not need a diagnosis to book, and you do not need the right words for it. “Something has been off and I am tired of ignoring it” is a complete reason to start.
What the process looks like
MindView runs a visible process rather than an open-ended one.
Every question in it is optional. The first three sessions have a fixed job. It opens with an intake. Your history, what brought you here, and 0-to-10 ratings that fix the starting point. The picture then widens across history, work, health and relationships, with any question declinable, and becomes a written treatment plan in your own language, including a goal that matters to you beyond symptoms.
After that, sessions are weekly, and once a month you complete standardized measures and review the trend with your therapist. If the line is flat, the plan changes. The measurement exists so neither of you has to guess whether it is working.
Which methods get used depends on the problem, with cognitive behavioral therapy as the backbone - structured, practical, and aimed at the present. You leave with something to practice. Your therapist is licensed in Indiana.
The insurance picture
We are in-network with it. Cigna - we are in-network. Aetna - we are in-network.
Which is why we do the checking instead of asking you to. Your cost is verified and quoted before session one, in real numbers.
To begin
Book online - roughly 30 seconds with the card in front of you. We verify, quote, and schedule. Accepting new clients; a reply lands within one business day. Or call (646) 493-4007.

What does therapy here actually look like?
The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.
- The first meeting
Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.
- The wider picture
Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.
- Building the plan
You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.
- Ongoing
Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.
Therapy here is measured, not guessed
Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.
Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

New Haven questions
Does MindView Therapy have an office in New Haven?
No. Our Indiana office is in Carmel, IN, and New Haven care runs entirely by secure video. We say that plainly rather than implying a local presence we do not have.
Fort Wayne is right there. Why would I not just go into the city?
You can, and for a one-time consult it barely matters. For a weekly appointment it does. Fifteen or twenty minutes each way sounds small until it is stacked on the end of a shift, fifty-two times a year. Video removes it, which is the difference between finishing a course of therapy and stopping in week six.
What insurance do you take in New Haven?
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, all in-network. Anthem is Indiana's Blue Cross Blue Shield plan and the most common commercial card in Allen County. We verify your specific benefits and quote your cost before the first session.
I work rail, steel, or grain, and my hours move. Can we work around that?
Yes. We set your standing time around your schedule and move it when the schedule moves. Because there is no commute attached, a session can sit directly against a shift instead of requiring a whole free afternoon.
My job is safety-critical. Does going to therapy affect that?
Therapy records are confidential medical records. We do not report to your employer, and nothing about attending a session is shared with anyone without your written authorization, with the narrow legal exceptions any clinician has and can explain to you. If your employer has its own reporting requirements, that is a question for them, and we will be straight with you about what we can and cannot do.
Who is the therapist?
Our Indiana-licensed therapist, who sees Indiana clients statewide by secure video. You keep the same therapist week to week rather than being reassigned.
What happens in the first session?
An intake - what brought you in, your history, what you want to change, and 0-to-10 ratings of what you are feeling. Those become your baseline.
How soon can I start, and what will it cost?
We are accepting new clients and respond within one business day. In-network, you pay your copay or coinsurance, with any unmet deductible first. We give you that number before session one.
