Why MindView

Most therapy in Frankfort has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.

Most practices in Frankfort deliver whatever approach the therapist you happened to get was trained in. We run one format for every client, and we measure it.

  1. 01

    Intake

What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.

  2. 02

    Your history

Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.

  3. 03

    Treatment plan

Written and collaborative, built against those causes.

  4. 04

    Monthly review

Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.

A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.

Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Therapy in Frankfort, in short

MindView Therapy sees Frankfort clients by secure video anywhere in Indiana. We provide structured, evidence-based therapy for adults (18+), in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. No Frankfort office - sessions run by video, so nothing depends on getting over to I-65 and back. Accepting new clients now.

Frankfort has been the Clinton County seat since 1830, named at the Pence brothers' request after their ancestors' home of Frankfurt am Main. It is a courthouse town in an agricultural county, with Interstate 65 a short distance west, the Community Schools of Frankfort, a public library, a municipal airport, and an Ivy Tech campus that opened in 2013. We see Frankfort adults by secure video, in-network with Anthem, Cigna, and Aetna.

A county seat where privacy is part of the problem

Frankfort became the seat of Clinton County in 1830 and was named at the request of the Pence brothers, after Frankfurt am Main, the city their ancestors came from. What grew up around that decision is a classic Indiana county seat: a courthouse completed in 1882 at the center, a commercial historic district around it, and residential historic districts - South Frankfort, Christian Ridge - spreading out from there. “Old Stoney,” the former high school, is now City Hall. There is a public library, a municipal airport, and since 2013 an Ivy Tech campus.

The surrounding county is agricultural, and county government and the schools are steady institutional employers. Interstate 65 runs a short distance west, which shapes how the area connects to everything else: this is a place where you get on the interstate to reach the things that are not here, and therapy has historically been one of them.

Two things make weekly therapy hard in a town like Frankfort, and only one of them is distance.

The first is the drive. If the nearest available appointment requires getting out to the interstate and back on a weekday, the appointment competes with the entire rest of the evening. Most people can sustain that for four or five weeks.

The second is smaller and rarely said out loud. In a county seat, people notice cars. They notice who walks into which building on Tuesday afternoons. That is not paranoia, it is just how a small city works, and it keeps a real number of people from ever making the first call.

Video solves both at once. There is no drive, and there is no building to be seen entering.

Our service is secure video therapy for adults (18+) statewide, in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, with a response inside one business day. Our office is in Carmel, IN, and Frankfort care does not run through it.

What we hear from Clinton County

Anxiety in people whose lives look settled, which is confusing to them precisely because nothing on paper explains it. Burnout in people who have held the same responsibilities for a long time and recently found that the same load stopped being carryable. Grief, which in a small county arrives as a shared event rather than a private one, and which people often postpone because everyone else needed something first.

Depression that built slowly through a long stretch of functioning. Life transitions - a job that changed, a farm or business handed down or handed off, a last kid leaving, a parent who now needs care. Seasonal pressure, where the year is not evenly weighted and the heaviest stretch leaves no room for anything else.

You do not need a diagnosis to book. “I am not doing well and I am not sure why” is a complete starting point.

What the process looks like

MindView runs a visible process rather than an open-ended one.

You begin with an intake session - history, current difficulty, and 0-to-10 self-ratings that establish where you are starting from. The work then opens out into the rest of your history, nothing in it compulsory, and settles into a written treatment plan built jointly, in plain language, with a personal goal included.

From there, weekly sessions. Once a month you complete standardized measures, and the two of you read the trend. No movement means a different approach. Once a month you complete standardized measures and review the trend with your therapist. If the line is flat, the plan changes rather than continuing on faith. The measurement is there so neither of you has to guess.

The therapy is shaped around your problem and grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, which is structured and skills-driven. You leave with something to practice. Your therapist is licensed in Indiana.

Insurance, plainly

We are in-network with it. Cigna - we are in-network. Aetna - we are in-network.

Which is why we do the checking rather than handing you a phone number. Your cost is verified and quoted before session one, in real numbers.

What does therapy here actually look like?

The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.

  1. The first meeting

Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.

  2. The wider picture

Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.

  3. Building the plan

You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.

  4. Ongoing

Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.

Therapy here is measured, not guessed

Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.

Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Frankfort questions

Does MindView Therapy have an office in Frankfort?

No. Our Indiana office is in Carmel, IN, and Frankfort care runs entirely by secure video. We would rather state that plainly than imply a local presence we do not have.

Why not just drive to the nearest city with a therapist?

For a one-time consult that is fine. For a weekly appointment, the drive is the part people quit, usually around week five, and usually right when the work starts to matter. Video takes the drive out of the equation so the weekly part is actually sustainable.

What insurance do you take in Frankfort?

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, all in-network. Anthem is Indiana's Blue Cross Blue Shield plan and the most common commercial card in this part of the state. We verify your specific benefits and quote your cost before the first session.

My schedule follows the season, not the calendar. Can that work?

Yes. In an agricultural county the demand is not evenly spread across the year, and we plan around that instead of pretending otherwise. We set a standing time, tighten or loosen the cadence during the heaviest stretches, and keep the same therapist throughout rather than restarting.

Frankfort is small. Will anyone here know I am in therapy?

No one sees you walk into a building, because there is no building. Sessions are by secure video from wherever you are, and your records are confidential the same way any medical record is. In a town this size, that is not a small consideration and we do not treat it as one.

Who is the therapist?

Our Indiana-licensed therapist, who sees Indiana clients statewide by secure video. You keep the same therapist week to week rather than being handed off.

What happens in the first session?

An intake - what brought you in, your history, what you want to change, and 0-to-10 ratings of what you are feeling. Those ratings become the baseline everything after is measured against.

How soon can I start, and what will it cost?

We are accepting new clients and respond within one business day. In-network, you pay your copay or coinsurance, with any unmet deductible first. We give you that number in advance.
