Why MindView

Most therapy in Franklin has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.

Most practices in Franklin deliver whatever approach the therapist you happened to get was trained in. We run one format for every client, and we measure it.

  1. 01

    Intake

What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.

  2. 02

    Your history

Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.

  3. 03

    Treatment plan

Written and collaborative, built against those causes.

  4. 04

    Monthly review

Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.

A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.

Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Therapy in Franklin, in short

MindView Therapy sees Franklin clients by secure video anywhere in Indiana. We provide structured, evidence-based therapy for adults (18+), in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. No Franklin office - sessions run by video, with no drive up I-65 into Indianapolis. Accepting new clients now.

Franklin is Johnson County's seat, about 20 miles south of Indianapolis on I-65 - a courthouse-square town with brick streets and the 1834 Franklin College, wrapped in a manufacturing base that now includes Toyota, NSK, KYB, and Mitsubishi suppliers. It is close enough to commute and far enough to still feel like its own place. We see Johnson County adults by secure video, in-network with Anthem, Cigna, and Aetna.

Close to Indianapolis, and that is exactly the problem

Franklin sits 20 miles south of Indianapolis, which puts it in a specific and underrated bind. It is close enough that a large share of the county commutes north every morning, and close enough that when people need a specialist they are told to drive into the city. It is also its own town, with a courthouse square, brick streets, the Artcraft Theatre, and a college that has been here since 1834 and was the first in Indiana to admit women.

The commuter math is what matters for therapy. If your day already contains an hour or more on I-65, adding a third trip for a weekly appointment is not a schedule, it is a countdown. Most people manage four or five weeks of it and then stop, usually right around the point where the work starts to matter.

So we removed the trip. We offer secure video sessions for adults (18+) across Indiana, in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, and we answer inside one business day. Our office is in Carmel, IN, about 40 miles north - a real place, and not one you need to visit.

Who books from Johnson County

Commuters carrying the particular fatigue of spending ten hours a week in a car. Manufacturing and logistics workers at the Toyota, NSK, KYB, and Mitsubishi-connected plants around the county, often on schedules that do not match ordinary office hours. College staff and hospital workers. Couples who realized that the only time they talk is logistics.

What they bring is ordinary and serious: anxiety, depression, burnout that got mistaken for a personality change, marriages running on autopilot, and the disorientation of a life transition - a promotion, a layoff, a last child leaving.

No diagnosis needed to book. The intake exists to sort out what is actually going on.

What you can expect, session by session

We start with an intake. What is going on, what came before it, and 0-to-10 ratings that become the reference point for everything after. The work then opens out into the rest of your history, nothing in it compulsory, and settles into a written treatment plan built jointly, in plain language, with a personal goal included.

Then the work goes weekly. Each month you re-score standardized measures and read the movement together. Stalled numbers mean a revised plan. That is what the measurement is for.

The therapy is shaped around your problem and grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, which is structured and skills-driven. Your therapist is licensed in Indiana.

Coverage and cost

We are in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, the Indiana Blue and the commercial card most employers here issue. Cigna - we are in-network. Aetna - we are in-network.

We confirm your specific benefits up front and give you the cost in plain dollars, not a range. No surprise bills after the fact.

What the commute actually costs you

Ten hours a week in a car is not a neutral fact. It compresses evenings, it eats the window when most people would exercise or cook or talk to their spouse, and it front-loads the day with a stressor before work even starts. A lot of what gets described as burnout in this county is partly a transportation problem wearing a psychological label. Naming that accurately matters, because the treatment for exhaustion caused by structural time loss is different from the treatment for depression, even when they look similar from the outside.

What does therapy here actually look like?

The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.

  1. The first meeting

Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.

  2. The wider picture

Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.

  3. Building the plan

You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.

  4. Ongoing

Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.

Therapy here is measured, not guessed

Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.

Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Franklin questions

Does MindView Therapy have an office in Franklin?

No. Our Indiana office is in Carmel, IN, about 40 miles north, and Franklin care runs entirely by secure video. Carmel is a real office, but crossing Indianapolis to reach it every week is not a plan that holds up.

I already commute to Indianapolis. Why not just see someone there?

You can, but it usually means adding a third leg to a day that already has two. A video session from home removes the drive completely, which is the difference between attending weekly for six months and quietly stopping in week five.

What insurance do you take in Franklin?

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, all in-network. Anthem is Indiana's Blue Cross Blue Shield plan. Many Johnson County manufacturing employers offer plans administered by one of these three. We verify your benefits and quote your cost before the first session.

Who is the therapist?

Our Indiana-licensed therapist, who sees Indiana clients statewide by secure video. You keep the same therapist week to week. The full bio is on our team page.

What happens in the first session?

An intake - what brought you in, your history, what you want to change, and 0-to-10 ratings of what you are feeling. Those numbers become the baseline your progress is measured against.

Is video therapy actually effective?

For the outpatient concerns we treat, research comparing video-delivered CBT with office-delivered CBT has generally found comparable outcomes. And because we re-measure monthly with standardized tools, you get an answer specific to you rather than a general claim.

How soon can I start?

We are accepting new clients and respond within one business day. Choosing a time online takes about 30 seconds.

Do you see couples in Franklin?

Yes. Couples sessions run by video with both partners on the call, together or from two separate Indiana locations - useful when one of you is still at the office and the other is home.
