Why MindView
Most therapy in Auburn has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.
Most practices in Auburn deliver whatever approach the therapist you happened to get was trained in. We run one format for every client, and we measure it.
- 01
Intake
What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.
- 02
Your history
Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.
- 03
Treatment plan
Written and collaborative, built against those causes.
- 04
Monthly review
Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.
A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.
Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Therapy in Auburn, in short
MindView Therapy sees Auburn, Indiana clients by secure video anywhere in the state. We provide structured, evidence-based therapy for adults (18+), in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. No Auburn office - sessions run by video from home. Accepting new clients now.
Auburn, Indiana is the DeKalb County seat, about 20 miles north of Fort Wayne, and it is known nationally as the Home of the Classics. The Auburn Automobile Company was founded here in 1900 and built its first car in 1903, later acquiring Duesenberg and Lexington before the company failed in 1937. We see DeKalb County adults by secure video, in-network with Anthem, Cigna, and Aetna.
The Home of the Classics
Auburn, Indiana built some of the most beautiful cars ever made in the United States, and then it stopped. The Auburn Automobile Company was founded here in 1900 and produced its first car in 1903. Over the following decades it acquired Duesenberg and Lexington and became a name that meant something well beyond Indiana. In 1937 the company failed.
The town kept the identity anyway. Auburn calls itself the Home of the Classics, and the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum is a National Historic Landmark that draws people from across the country. The Downtown Auburn Historic District, the DeKalb County Court House, and the Eckhart Public Library and Park fill out a downtown that looks like the prosperous era that produced it.
There is something specific about living in a place whose best-known chapter closed almost ninety years ago. It is not sad, exactly. But it does mean the town’s story about itself and the town’s present-day working life are two different things, and people who live here navigate that gap constantly.
Auburn is the DeKalb County seat, about 20 miles north of Fort Wayne, with Garrett immediately west. Fort Wayne is where anything specialized happens, which for a weekly appointment is a different calculation than for an annual one.
We provide secure video sessions to adults (18+) anywhere in Indiana, in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, and respond within one business day. Our office is in Carmel, IN, and Auburn care does not depend on it.
What we hear from DeKalb County
Work stress in manufacturing and skilled trades, where the pressure is not usually about the work itself but about whether the work will still be there. That worry sits underneath everything else and is rarely named directly.
Burnout that looks like flatness rather than crisis. People show up, do the job well, and feel almost nothing about any of it. That is a real presentation of burnout and it is easy to dismiss because nothing is visibly wrong.
Anxiety in people whose lives are objectively fine. Steady job, decent house, family nearby, and a persistent sense that something is about to go wrong. That combination produces its own guilt, which makes it harder to talk about.
Life transitions - a career ending, a role changing, children leaving, a retirement that arrived and turned out to be quieter than expected. These are ordinary events that are genuinely hard, and they do not need to be catastrophes to be worth working on.
Marriages where two people have quietly stopped talking about anything that matters and have gotten used to it.
No diagnosis is needed to book. Bringing “something is off” is a complete starting point.
How care actually runs
You begin with an intake session - history, current difficulty, and 0-to-10 self-ratings that establish where you are starting from.
The work widens from there into your history, health, relationships and stressors. Any question can be declined without explanation.
A written plan is the result, made with you in your own language, carrying a goal you pick for yourself.
The cadence becomes weekly, with standardized measures repeated monthly and compared to baseline. A flat trend forces a change. If the numbers are not moving, the plan changes. That is the point of measuring.
Technique follows the presenting problem, built on cognitive behavioral therapy: concrete, structured, and focused on now. You leave with something to practice between sessions. Your therapist is licensed in Indiana.
What insurance covers
We are in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, the Indiana Blue and the commercial card most employers here issue. Cigna - we are in-network. Aetna - we are in-network.
You get your actual cost before you start, because we verify the plan rather than asking you to.

Booking is online and takes about 30 seconds. We confirm the insurance, state the cost, and set your weekly slot. New clients are being accepted, with a response inside one business day. Phone: (646) 493-4007.

What does therapy here actually look like?
The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.
- The first meeting
Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.
- The wider picture
Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.
- Building the plan
You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.
- Ongoing
Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.
Therapy here is measured, not guessed
Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.
Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Auburn questions
Is this Auburn, Indiana or Auburn, New York?
Auburn, Indiana - the DeKalb County seat in northeast Indiana, about 20 miles north of Fort Wayne. There is also an Auburn in New York, which is a different city entirely. Our Indiana therapy services cover the Indiana one.
Does MindView Therapy have an office in Auburn, Indiana?
No. Our Indiana office is in Carmel, IN, and Auburn care runs entirely by secure video. Nothing about your treatment requires going there.
Fort Wayne is 20 miles away. Why do therapy by video instead?
Twenty miles is fine once. Weekly, with parking and the buffer you build in for traffic, it is close to two extra hours a week for a year of care. That cost is the usual reason people stop going, not a lack of motivation.
What insurance do you take in Auburn, Indiana?
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna, all in-network. Anthem is Indiana's Blue Cross Blue Shield plan and the most common commercial card in DeKalb County. We verify your benefits and quote your cost before session one.
Who is the therapist?
Our Indiana-licensed therapist, who sees Indiana clients statewide by secure video. You keep the same therapist week to week.
I work on a manufacturing schedule. Can we work around it?
Yes. We set a standing time around your schedule and move it when the schedule changes. Without a commute attached, a session can sit directly against a shift.
What happens in the first session?
An intake - what brought you in, your history, what you want to change, and 0-to-10 ratings of what you are feeling, which become your baseline.
How soon can I start, and what does it cost?
We are accepting new clients and respond within one business day. In-network, you pay your copay or coinsurance, with any unmet deductible first. We give you the number in advance.
