Why MindView

Most therapy in Evansville has no structure. Ours has four stages and a scoreboard.

Plenty of practices take Aetna. What you get here is one format for every client: a full intake, a written treatment plan, and standardized measures reviewed with you every month, so you can see whether it is working.

  1. 01

    Intake

What is actually going on, rated 0 to 10 as your baseline.

  2. 02

    Your history

Why it is happening. History, relationships, work, health.

  3. 03

    Treatment plan

Written and collaborative, built against those causes.

  4. 04

    Monthly review

Standardized measures, reviewed with you. You see the trend.

A license is where our training starts, not where it ends.

Every clinician is state-licensed before they see a single client. Then they train with us across every modality, and how to match one to the problem in front of them.

Aetna in Evansville, in short

Aetna members in Evansville: yes, we are in-network, and sessions run by secure video anywhere in Indiana.

For Evansville Aetna members the essentials are: in-network, telehealth statewide, adults (18+), and a benefits check that happens before your first session, because employer plans vary too much to guess.

Can I use my Aetna plan for therapy in Evansville?

You can, here, starting this week. MindView Therapy is in-network with Aetna, serving Evansville and the rest of Indiana by secure video.

Your share is your plan’s copay or coinsurance, with any unmet deductible applying first, and the full session fee is never your problem.

One thing we state up front rather than bury: we have no office in Evansville. Our Indiana practice is based in Carmel, about 185 miles away.

Aetna in Indiana: one network, many plan designs

Aetna’s network is the easy part; the plan designs are where Evansville members get surprised. Coverage for outpatient therapy is common, but the copay, deductible, and any session limits are plan-specific, so we verify yours before you sit down for a first session.

What does a session cost with Aetna?

Which one you have is precisely what the benefits check answers.

Whatever design your plan uses, you hear the number from us before the first session, not from a statement afterward.

Therapy in Evansville, specifically

Evansville sits on a horseshoe bend of the Ohio River in the state’s southwest corner, about 185 miles from our Carmel office, making it the most office-distant metro we serve. That distance is the point: an Evansville client gets the same practice, the same structure, and the same insurance network as a client ten minutes from the office, by secure video.

We hear from the West Side and East Side, Haynie’s Corner, and the Newburgh and Chandler edges of the metro. The tri-state’s shift-heavy employers, hospitals, plants, and logistics, produce a familiar pattern: sleep that never settles, worry that will not switch off, and couples whose schedules barely overlap.

Video therapy, measured rather than assumed

Two honest sentences about the format: comparative research on video versus office-delivered therapy has generally found similar outcomes for common outpatient concerns, and telehealth is not right for every situation, if you need more care than weekly outpatient sessions provide, we say so and help you find it, including from Evansville.

Then the part most practices skip: monthly standardized measures, reviewed with you, so “is this working” is a question with data behind it.

Checking your own Aetna benefit

If you want to see it yourself, sign in at aetna.com and read the outpatient behavioral health or mental health line: copay, coinsurance, and remaining deductible. Then let us confirm it anyway. We check your plan before your first session and tell you what you will pay.

How therapy at MindView is organized

Your first session is an intake. You name the problem, say what you want changed, and rate the intensity 0 to 10 for a baseline. The early work is deliberate about understanding the whole picture before it starts building goals, and every question is declinable.

Then weekly sessions work the plan, and monthly measures check the work. Structure is not the opposite of warmth here; it is how the warmth gets results.

Who you would work with

Indiana sessions are with our Indiana-licensed therapist, and we work with adults (18+). Because the license is statewide, an Evansville client gets the same therapist, the same structure, and the same insurance network as a client sitting a mile from our Carmel base.

What else do you take in Indiana?

Three plans cover our whole Indiana practice: Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. When an Evansville household holds two of the three, we verify both during intake and start you on the one with the lower per-session cost.

How do I start?

Book online through our secure client portal. It takes about 30 seconds. Have your Aetna member ID card ready.

We verify your coverage, confirm your cost, and get you scheduled. We are accepting new clients and respond within one business day. Prefer to talk first? Call (646) 493-4007.

What Aetna covers here

  • Most Aetna plans cover virtual behavioral health visits, commonly at the same benefit level as an office visit. We confirm the benefit on your specific plan.
  • Most Aetna plans allow direct access to an in-network behavioral health provider without a referral. Some HMO designs are the exception, and we check yours.
  • We check your plan before your first session and tell you what you will pay.
  • In-network means the negotiated rate protects you. You pay your plan's copay, coinsurance, or remaining deductible, and the difference is never billed to you.
  • Your specific benefits are checked before session one, so the first cost you hear for an Evansville session is the accurate one.

How to book with Aetna

  1. 1

Book online and choose a time, about 30 seconds.

  2. 2

We run the benefits check on your specific plan and tell you your per-session cost up front.

  3. 3

Meet by secure video for the intake. If your coverage ever changes, you hear it from us before it costs you anything.

What does therapy here actually look like?

The first three sessions follow a clear structure, so you always know what is coming next.

  1. Getting started

Your first session is an intake. Your therapist asks what brought you in and about your history, and you rate the intensity of what you are feeling from 0 to 10. That becomes your baseline. You set a recurring weekly time before you leave.

  2. Mapping what is behind it

Your therapist walks through your life across stages, looking for the patterns and strengths behind what brought you in. You can decline any question and keep any answer short.

  3. Writing the plan together

You and your therapist build the plan together. Goals are tied to what you came in for, each with concrete objectives, plus one personal goal that matters to you.

  4. Ongoing

Weekly sessions work the plan. Once a month you and your therapist review standardized measures together to see whether it is working, and the plan is adjusted from what they show.

Therapy here is measured, not guessed

Once a month you have a measurement-based care review. You complete standardized measures, and your therapist reviews the trend with you. If something is not working, the plan changes. Regular therapy is the work. The review is the navigation system that keeps it pointed at the right target.

Sessions are weekly for the first two months to build a foundation, then frequency is reassessed with you. You set the pace, and you share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Use your Aetna benefits and get started.

Choose a time and book. It takes about 30 seconds. Opens our secure client portal.

Aetna questions

Do you take Aetna in Evansville?

Yes. We are in-network with Aetna, and Evansville sessions are held by secure video under our clinician's Indiana license, so where you live in the state is not a limit.

Do you have an office in Evansville?

No, and we say so plainly. Our Indiana base is in Carmel, roughly 185 miles from Evansville, and Evansville clients are seen by secure video, which Indiana licensure permits statewide.

Does Aetna cover online therapy in Indiana?

Most Aetna plans cover virtual behavioral health visits, commonly at the same benefit level as an office visit. We confirm the telehealth benefit on your specific plan when we verify coverage.

What will therapy cost me with Aetna?

You pay your plan's copay or coinsurance rather than the full session fee, and any unmet deductible may apply first. Costs vary by plan, so we verify your benefits and tell you the number before your first session.

Who would I be working with?

One Indiana-licensed therapist holds every Indiana session at MindView. You work with the same therapist weekly, by secure video, from anywhere in the state.

My job is across the river in Kentucky. Can I still be your client?

Yes. The only constraint is where you are during the session itself: Indiana licensure requires you to be physically in the state, so Evansville clients with Kentucky jobs usually schedule from home before or after the workday.

You do not have to figure this out alone. Booking takes about 30 seconds.
